The 10k Over 10 Bridges, London Walk was a wonderful way to start a Saturday morning. The forecast was dry and sunny with some cloud, the perfect conditions for our adventure.
With the London train strikes still in place, our team still wanted to go ahead and made the awkward journey to join us. We had ten walkers, including one recovering from injury, two feeling a little delicate from the night before, and two pregnant women. As always, it was a great opportunity to catch up with our colleagues outside of the working environment.
A special mention to Becky Statham who couldn’t make it to London but set out in her local area, which happens to be beautiful countryside, to complete the 10K walk she had fundraised for.
Capturing the smiles, the bridges, and the surroundings as we weaved our way West to East, we finished the challenge over Tower Bridge, just around the corner from Veran’s HQ. We rewarded ourselves with the tastiest snacks at Vinegar Yard, London Bridge laced in the glow of the afternoon sunshine.
The team did a brilliant job fundraising for this event, reaching over £1000 for our chosen charity, Impetus – backing the best. A massive thank you to our fundraisers and their sponsors.
We will be participating in more activities between now and April 2023 to raise awareness and funds for Impetus.
