About the event
We are back with our brand-new series, Mind the Gap, tackling the gaps we are now facing as business leaders, in mindset, technology, talent, expectations, and how we might go about closing them. In our first episode, we are delighted to welcome Amy Sowinska, EMEA Regional Head of HR for News UK. Amy is an inspiring HR leader who tells us that, although she sleeps well at night, worries of attrition and retention as well as effective communication in the business is front of mind first thing in the morning. In this webcast, Tom and Amy will be exploring why gaps in these areas could become an issue if not considered early, and how they filter in to; - culture in a dynamic, fast-paced, global business - the D&I agenda - the overarching transformation programme at News UK - as well as the future of work. "The media industry is incredibly fast-paced and agile, we turn things around quickly; we have a saying at News UK 'we get a paper out every day, why should things take longer'. Whilst this is true and we want to remain agile and flexible, things like D&I strategies and HR system implementations need to be done carefully".
